Welcome

Seeking therapy is a courageous and proactive choice to take charge and improve your life. I work with individuals, couples, and families to improve relationships and wellbeing. I have experience treating people of diverse backgrounds of all ages.

In therapy, I believe the most important factor is the relationship between therapist and client. Therefore, I work from a collaborative, empathic, and nonjudgmental approach to help you align with your strengths, confront old patterns that impede your progress, learn new ways to interact in personal relationships, and deepen your self-understanding.

My approach to counseling is founded is humanistic/existential theory. I believe we all have an inner compass, based on our own experiences, which guides us toward growth. A therapeutic relationship centered in positive regard, genuineness, empathetic listening and compassion can support you in accessing your internal wisdom as you navigate life’s difficulties.

I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches and I utilize the most helpful tools from each modality to individualize a therapeutic plan.

I am dedicated to providing a safe space for you to acknowledge and explore your feelings, thoughts and behaviors. Within this safe space I hope to build a strong therapeutic relationship, always being respectful, while pushing you toward achieving your goals.

I have experience working with individuals, couples and families struggling with a wide variety of emotional and behavioral issues. If you're looking for support and guidance through a difficult situation or just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you.

I offer day and evening appointments Monday-Friday. Please call or email me to schedule an appointment.

Tanya Larson,
M.A., LMHC
